Living abroad is great, but it does mean I miss out on a lot of special occasions at home – birthdays. Christmas, anniversaries etc. At my longest, I hadn’t returned home for two years. Flights home are pretty expensive, y’know! This year, I’ve been lucky enough to go home twice. That means twice the fun, twice as many catch ups and twice the celebrations.
As a late birthday treat for me, and an early birthday treat for my Mum, my Mum (with some sort of permission from my Dad) booked us an overnight spa break. Not only that, this spa break was in Center Parcs, Elvedon Forest! Center Parcs is one of my favourite places, ever!
We got to spend two whole days relaxing in the spa (and sleeping on anything that resembled a bed!). To say we were relaxed is an understatement. We also got to spend our night in the most awesome accommodation I’ve stayed in.
They’re called luxury suites for a reason! Check out this bath:
I don’t know if baths excite me more now because I don’t have one (and rarely come across them) in China, but no one can deny the beauty of that circular bathtub.
A breakfast, lunch and money towards our dinner (not to mention the nearly endless supply of drinks) were also included in our stay. So, we stayed pretty well fed and watered the entire time.
We were made to feel very special throughout our stay, so much so that my Mum has booked to go again around Christmas with my Dad. Dad’s pretending not to be excited but there’s no way you can’t enjoy a stay as amazing as this was!
Big thanks to my Mum and Dad for the trip! And thanks to Center Parcs for doing such a great job with the spa break.
And another thanks to the beautiful model you can see in my pictures.
